Halloween Slime

Option 1: Traditional Children’s Slime

You will need:

To make your slime:

  1. Start by pouring a desired amount of PVA glue into a dish (we chose green PVA glue to fit with the Halloween theme).
  2. Next, squeeze 5 drops of Magic Slime Potion into the dish with the PVA glue.
  3. Then add as much or as little glitter to the formula (again, we used green glitter for the Halloween theme).
  4. Using a spoon or stick, begin to mix the formula until a slime consistency is achieved (adding a drop of Magic Slime Potion if needed) until the desired slime consistency is achieved.
  5. Now your slime is ready to play with!

Option 2: Taste Safe Slime

You will need:

To make your slime:

  1. Start by adding a few marshmallows to a microwave-safe bowl and popping them in the microwave for 30 seconds max. The marshmallows should have doubled in size.
  2. Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave (it might be hot!). Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to your marshmallows and stir.
  3. Once you have stirred the oil in you can add a food colouring of your choice – we went for green – and stir once again.
  4. Next, you will need to slowly add teaspoons of cornflour and mix simultaneously until the mixture becomes less sticky to the touch
  5. Once your mixture has stopped sticking to the bowl and spoon it should be ready to play with!

Option 3: Play Foam Slime

You will need:

To make your slime:

  1. Measure 3 cups of play foam into a bowl and add purple food colouring (we mixed a few drops of red and blue to create purple).
  2. Fold in 1/2 cup PVA glue and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and stir thoroughly to mix everything together.
  3. Slowly add 6 tablespoons of the Magic Slime Potion and knead the mixture together. The magic activator will slowly turn the foam into soft, non-sticky slime that children will love to pull and squish and twist!

Top Tips for Making DIY Halloween Slime:

  • Remember, the more you knead and play with your slime, the less sticky it will become! Fix this easily in minutes but adding a few drops of Magic Slime Potion to bring back the perfect consistency.
  • To use your slime again, store it in an airtight container.
  • Make clean-up easier by playing on a smooth table, wipeable placemat or plastic tablecloth.
  • Why not try using different colours and make lots of different coloured slime as well!
